Phytoremediation & Carbon Sequestration
Hemp's fast growing deep taproots have shown to eradicate heavy metals and other intoxicants in soils. Hemp could be utilized to not only reclaim coal lands, but it can be used to remediate pesticide laden farmland for future organic farming.
Those taproots must grow fast in order to support stalks that can grow upwards of sixteen feet. These stalks grow tight together which means an entire acre of hemp can produce as much cellulose as four acres of trees.
Because hemp is primarily cellulose, which is carbon, it's one of the best tools mankind has to capture atmospheric carbon while building healthy soils.
Sustainable Alternative
Non-GMO hemp is the perfect alternative for petro-chemical plastics, tree paper, resource-intensive cotton, and GMO animals feeds.
Greener Product Lifecycle
Domestic grown hemp products not only gives back to planet earth, but it also return back to earth more safely than alternatives.
Compostable disposable in the food industry is a start, but even more efficient hemp seed feeds could cut down on resources throughout beef, poultry and aquaculture industries.
